For the past few years, the centerpiece of the TACWRK booth at Enforce Tac is a display featuring real world combinations of equipment. One of the mannequins always mimics an Operator from a significant event.
This year, it’s the lone SAS Operator from the recent terror attack in Nairobi.
They were able to replicate everything except the weapon accessories.
How much of the kit can you name?

Anyone know what shoes that SAS guy is wearing?
The mannequin is wearing AKU Pilgrims, I believe he was wearing Sportiva
La sportive boulder x by the look of it.
They’re La Sportiva Boulder X approach shoes 🙂
Great tribute to a brave man.
Being a kit geek I have noticed the following discrepancies!
Plate carrier isn’t the same. SAS guy is wearing an AVS not a JPC.
He’s wearing la sportiva boulder x not AKUs and the holster is a safariland!
Lastly the balaclava is probably an Arcteryx FR one.
Mp! Do you know the brand of the small multi cam pack he is wearing?
Crye Precision Avs 1000 buddy
The mannequins at these sort of shows always look rubbish.
They tried… Wrong weapon, wrong kit, but close enough.
What make is the Multi cam pack he is wearing?
Crye precision AVS 1000 no doubt!
Right on , thx Bro!!
He’s wearing a pair of LaSportiva Boulder-X, color is a couple of seasons old. One of the better, more ubiquitous approach shoes on the market.
Cool, except for the part where they got every single piece wrong. UKSF impressionists have already assembled a complete kitlist for this guy–the display is just lazy. If you’re gonna mimic a real person from a real picture, at least have the respect to do it right. This looks like someone took whatever shit was in their gear bag and put it on display. Do it right like Surefire, or don’t do it at all.
Can you please share the list? I’d like to know
Sure thing man. Here’s the gear: https://thereptilehouseblog.com/2019/01/16/in-the-wild-uksf-loadout-nairobi-kenya-january-2019/
And here’s the gun: https://thereptilehouseblog.com/2019/01/16/in-the-wild-uksf-l119a2-nairobi-jan-2019/
If you want to be pedantic the SureFire display had plenty of mistakes as well.
Maybe so, but
-They weren’t meant to replicate specific individuals from specific reference photos, and
-You could clearly tell what time periods the mannequins were attempting to display.
Without the picture in the back, and the patch on the chest, would you be able to tell who that was supposed to be?
I hear O P Tactical may have the Large Blackbeard Patch that was on the back of his kit. Come to think of it, a lot of his kit is sold by OPT….
Many companies sell it, but the one that was on the SAS lad’s kit came from Black Rifle Coffee Company.
Except… they seemed to have gotten most everything wrong. Crye JPC instead of the AVS, no groin protector attachment, pancake style kydex holster instead of Safariland holster, TACO’s instead of closed grenade pouch, 416 with Aimpoint CompM4 instead of L119A2 with Sig optic. Hell… they even got the jeans wrong. Is it just supposed to be “inspired” by the kit or were they actually trying to copy it. Lol
