POF-USA Tombstone

The new Tombstone from POf-USA certainly caught me off guard. It’s a 9mm box-fed lever action rifle with features you’d expect from an MSR including a modular handguard, ambi controls, flat face trigger and even a free floating barrel.

Probably the only thing I’m not thrilled with is the proprietary magazine. Granted it’s a 20 round capacity, but it’s yet another magazine I’ll have to procure if I want to pick this rifle up, and I do.

My hat is off yet again to POF-USA, a company who continues to innovate.

This is awesome. For anyone who’s never shot a suppressed lever gun (Henry Big Boy X, .38 special 158gr heavies) it is only marginally louder than a suppressed bolt action .22lr, and faster.

The thing that makes this better than a Big Boy X IMHO is the greater capacity and more standard ammunition in 9mm with much greater choice of available options, for less cost per round.

    Added to my get list.

They don’t make them like they use to. John Wayne is rolling over in his grave.

  3. Michael says:

Would be much more excited if it took standard Glock mags

  4. SSG Heintz says:

They screwed up so bad by not making this take Glock mags and shipping it with a G26 10rd or G19 10rd mag.

  5. James says:

Everybody is talking about glock mags, but where they really messed up is not having Gina Torres in the ad!!!!

  6. Scott says:

I doubt Glock mags would work with this. They’d almost certainly interfere with the lever. Scorpion mags probably could have been made to work though.

Lever guns appeal to my inner cowboy and I have a few, both firearm and airguns. Make this like a more traditional ever action and I’d be interested. Maybe copy the Winchester 97 or Savage 99. Also, wood and steel, or maybe brass. Tacticool lever guns are just weird unless in a jurisdiction that doesn;t allow semi-autos.

Howbout a 9mm pump like my old Winchester 62 .22?
