If I am not mistaken, the 101st ABN DIV was also the first unit to get the M17. I am very interested to see the XM250 replace the M249.
You are correct
Any update on the UK ranger rifle program?
You’ll know very soon. That’s all I can say at this point.
SSD,
Has the Army made any statements indicating what they want to do about weapons systems not directly addressed by NGSW (M110/A1, M240)?
Additionally, have there been any statements on what the issue basis for the XM157 will be?
Cool beans!
By the way, I’m pretty sure that is Garand Thumb in that desktop background image.
He is, the PM NGW team like the photo.
The BOIP for Fire Control Unit, along with the M7 and M250, is published in FMSweb, for those with access.
For the FCU, search for: “SIGHT, COMPUTERIZED, SAFC XM157”
Does FMSweb call them out as “XM7” etc. or “M7”?
“RIFLE, 6.8 MILLIMETER: ADVANCED LETHALITY, XM5” is what it is on the older BOIP I grabbed, before they changed the name to “XM7,” so just swap it out I’d think.
None directly. Next priority is Precision Grenadier System and then Medium Machine Gun.
Can you provide more information on this? Where these photos are from, when they’ll officially release FUE, ect?
I took the photos. This is all you get.
was there any mention/update on LICC?
No, LICC is not an Army program.
