Like an entrenching tool on steroids, the Gerber Dredge is a full-size folding shovel.
It features a steel blade with large anti-slip step plate, glass-filled nylon shaft with aluminum rod core, and a rubber grip.
Offered in Coyote, the open length is 45”, folded length is 25” and weight is 6.75 lbs. There is no carrying case.

No choppy?
No, keep in mind that Gerber divested or discontinued all of their “Scary-evil-military” products that “harm the world” like their machine gun cleaning tools (now thankfully made by Otis)
A sharp edge on a shovel is clearly an affront to world peace.
I’m confused, what is this then (link below)?
They still make stuff clearly marketed towards mil-end users.

They ceased production of all weapon related products like the eFect cleaning tool.
Anything is choppy if you swing hard enough.
5 bucks that thing breaks
A nylon shovel with every review having received the product for free in exchange for a write up on influencter.com? Seems legit.
Every user photo still has the tags on it, and talks about how it should be sturdy when they get around to using later.
