High Ground is seeking applicants for a new position. While the job title is “Sales Associate”, but after reading through this description, I’d say it is a higher profile job and a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a company that has a long history. I know that sounds like an oxymoron, but it isn’t. High Ground itself may feel like a start up, but it’s foundation is a time honored business, that is well respected in the contract sewing business.

How do they test for a SENSE OF HUMOR?
They have a extensive list of there requirements with no mention of what their start up offers.
I’d probably pass on applying with them if I were you. Your situational awareness pretty much sucks. They are an advertiser here and while I said that High Ground “may feel like a start up,” they aren’t. I’d say that they are looking for someone who wants to come in at the beginning of something that they will be able to help mold rather than come into an already established sales structure.
I can’t speak for High Ground but I’d say that they would be willing to offer a pretty good deal to the right applicant and that applicant isn’t going to be some internet blowhard. A character flaw that would compel someone to post something so stupid is hardly the type that any company would want to hire in a sales position.
I know there are already some very qualified applicants checking this out. Good luck to you guys.
Why be so sarcastic about a company you know nothing about. Situational awareness is needed and if you don’t know the sitituation you can’t be aware of what you are saying. Think before being so negative.
Was that directed at me or the OP?
If I was employing someone, I’d want them to have a sense of humor, and would include it into the job description. Why, might you ask? So that when someone gives me a line of shit about it, I could say “you. you are exactly the person we are not looking for.”
Also, this isn’t a GS listing. Compensation packages are rendered upon demonstrably effective results.
High Ground is an amazing company with some great and innovative products. They listen to the end-user and incorporate suggestions into products and guys are really into that interaction. Ben and Brendan are awesome guys with a great sales strategy: listen to the end user. Anyone lucky enough to get on board with them is in for a great journey.
I had the opportunity to met Ben in Europe a month ago and share a couple beers while talking about High Ground Gear, how the brand started, the origin of some of their designs, and even see a little spoiler of their upcoming products.
All I can say is that HGG combines the experience of former End Users, the innovation and push of a start-up, and the capacity of a heavy weight in the sewing industry.
