Wasn’t quite sure how you could mess up putting on a web dominator but thanks for the graphics!

With 500D they’re not too bad but with heavier fabrics they’re a pain in the ass to put on.

If you manage to mess this up I’d like to see how.

  3. Jim says:

I s’pose if you tried really really hard you could cock it up, but it’d have to b really hard!

  4. Jason says:

It wouldn’t surprise me to see someone screw it up. I’ve seen some Joe’s who screwed up molle gear.

Nothing like the dumbing down of America.

On a flat PALS grid like what you’d find on armor this orientation makes sense.

However when you’re using the Web Dominator on the free end of a packstrap or something, going the other way around and running the shock cord through the angled bit from the opposite direction seems like it would give you a little more retention (sort of like how you’d drive a tent peg perpendicuar to the load to keep it from pulling out). Probably over-thinking it; this is as much an ad as a PSA.

But yeah, I’ve seen some epic fails with PALS mounting. Those folks are usually easy to find because their helmet covers are on backwards…
