We hope that those injured in the Boston Marathon explosions did not sustain any serious injuries and that there are no fatalities.
Based on the significance of this date I believe that this terrible act was perpetrated by domestic actors. In the end, it doesn’t matter. Whomever committed this reprehensible act is an enemy.

Also happens to fall on tax day this year.
It’s when New Englander’s celebrate Patriots Day (3rd Monday of April) as well as tax day. Those two dates have significance for right-wing domestic terror groups. However, true Patriots Day is April 19th.

When one brings out the signifigance of the date, combined with those targeted, I can’t help but to bring up “smoke and mirrors”. This just doesn’t sit well with me and the agenda behind the act. I see misdirection written all over this.

I disagree. While it will be of a domestic origin in that the perpetrators will have been living here they will be sponsored by foreign sources. Everyone will yell domestic, right-wing, blah, blah but I’m calling bravo sierra on that. Wait for it.
That’s a very good point. Terrorists are often sponsored by others, even if ideologically divergent. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Wow, within a couple of hours of the incident you have already determined that this was perpetrated by domestic actors? How about we sit tight and see what the investigation reveals. Jumping to conclusions doesn’t help.
Yeah, being as how gear forums are actually crowdsourced points of collection for fusion cell analysis.
This is all SWAG, some of which will be borne out–as most is refuted–by further investigation.
None of us tendering GUESSES expect to shape the investigation, and I don’t see how any of us could taint it, either.
I’m imagining a bunch of counter-terrorist folks, Bostonians (scarier than lots of counter-terrorist folks), and marathoners (accomplished people with focus and stamina) poring over every pixel of their pictures and videos from that day. They will find his cretin.
I could be wrong, and I’ll be the first to admit it, but the threats to liberty aren’t all foreign and the significance of the time and place aren’t exactly lost on me. Don’t forget, a domestic terrorist attacked the National Capitol Region with bio weapons not long after 9/11.
Regardless of who did it, it is a tragedy and I hope that it isn’t used to support political agendas by either side.
Odd nobody is claiming responsibility for it.
