This is cool. I’ve been using Blue Force Gear Tenspeed Bandoleers for storage and easy transport, but these look good for stationary storage like in a safe.
Uh, a 30 cal or 50 cal ammo can is a much better way to store them. Why do these guys keep “inventing” solutions to problems that don’t exist? I’m sure the Larue fanboys will line up for them.
I cannot for the life of me understand this current anti-innovation bent in this country. We’ve always prided ourselves as a country where the garage tinkerer could work to build a better mousetrap.
There’s nothing wrong with using boxes or ammo crates or drawers or ammo pouches to store mags. Conversely, there’s nothing wrong with this idea either.

Well, what’s wrong with it is it uses the same area to hold 2/3rds as many mags as the same area without the holder, so it’s not a very judicious use of space. And you pay $30 for the privilege.
Ok, I’m game. How do you attach your mags to the wall?
Again, why would I keep unattached mags on an immobile shelf? Adds an extra step to any sort of transfer at least.
I’d rather see some sort of wall mount stand that enabled easy strip clip loading or something of that nature, not just pure storage above my work bench, rather than below it in a can.
Invent something. I’d love to see it.
Why is it every time a new product comes out in this community, people bash it into the ground? I don’t see this sort of thing happen on my wife’s sewing forums. Don’t like the thing, don’t buy it. Got a better idea? Build it and I’ll buy that instead of this. You’d think that since our “hobby” or “lifestyle” or if your in the military like me “career”, is under constant scrutiny we would welcome little inventions that could make someone’s life a little easier or make somebody on our side some extra coin.
Because very few people actually caught anything with a Pocket Fisherman. But somebody also got rich selling Pet Rocks, at least for a little while.
There are inventions that solve problems, then there are inventions looking for a problem to solve.
That’s what I was just thinking ! Too funny ! I just now bought a case of 12 for $200.00 from the company that makes these in Chicago. I think they are a fantastic idea ! Funny that they are made in Chicago where the mags that go in them are ILLEGAL !
Ammo cans are an adequate storage solution with good transport capability for loaded mags.
This is far superior for fixed-site storage, such as a safe / gun cabinet.
It’s not an either/or proposition – each concept has it’s strengths and weaknesses. I will be getting one of these.

While I am not a “Larue fanboy” (sic), this is a great, easy access in-cabinet storage solution. Definitely need a couple. Thanks, SSD, for putting this one up.
Pretty neat, I can see this working really well for places that utilize some sort of smallish dedicated armory like LE or possibly spec ops, grab your rifle then grab some mags that are sitting on the wall right next to it.
All I can think of when I see this is that arms room/built in safe Arnold had in his house in the opening scenes of Commando. I like the concept but would like to see one that held a variety of different mags. I keep at least one mag in the safe for all my weapons. The ability to store AK, AR, FAL, AR10, etc in one carrier mounted on the inside safe door would be great.
I like innovation as much as the next guy, but…..how about if it was detachable and had a carry handle? If I store my mags in this, and transport them in an ammo can, someone needs to invent an empty ammo can holder, which I believe is called a “shelf.” It’s sort of neat, kind of like pushbutton transmission selectors in some old cars were sort of neat.
From the photo, it looks like they could saw a handhold in the top, and make the screwholes into keyholes so it could be lifted up and off, then it might be more efficient. Or put both halves of marine hook and loop on the back, instead of screws, peel two off the wall, put them together back to back, and you have a 12 pack.
But that’s just me. I haul my mags around in cloth wine bottle bags I get free at the grocery store. And the only time I ever drank wine it came in a box.
Or maybe I just want to grab one off the wall with my carbine to go take care of a varmint in my yard 😛

Funny you should ask for something we are developing. I designed and patented this product and we are developing a steel enclosure which has a carry handle built in and mil-spec webbing which secures the mags from the front and top with a velcro relese in fron. The purcpose is to take our product mobile. You can permanently mount the housing in a vehicle and you don’t need to worry even if you roll the vehicle. You could mount it in your safe, lift it up and slide the unit off its keyhole attachments and transfer it to your vehicle where you could tighten 4 screws and you are rolling with 180 rounds…Pat

I could see the use of it. Just like the wall mounts that have a mag type protrusion that allows you to clip, or hang rifle on. One of these next to that and you’ll have a cool setup like in movies. You know where secret service guys on air force one are grabbing mp5’s from a cage or an embassy where guy is handing out rifles from armory to soldiers as they run by, also like on navy boats the same deal… I’ve never been in those situations and no clue if they are real, but that’s what I imagine, a grab and go. Or maybe even like that Travis Haley video where you might be stationary and instead of buncha mags lying around you could have one of these mounted by your post… Just spitballing here… Seems more productive then “Der dis is the stoopids!”
Sounds like a good idea to me. I have magazines positioned that I keep at the ready to defend my family and property, just like I keep various weapons throughout my place. This gives me one more option for those. I keep my range mags separate in a range bag/ammo can that I can transport. I regularly exchange the two groups. I’ll be getting one (or more) myself. There are always opinions… Mine, for a gunsafe… pretty nice! I just bought a couple… These guys are pretty savvy when it comes to design and developement of new AR kit… not to mention that their Dillor Dust is out of this world! keep up the great work!
