The P-Mag Coupler from California Competition Works is a part designed specifically for competition use. It works with Magpul P-Mags, coupling either two 30-round mags or one 20-round mag and 30-round mag into a single 60 or 50-round mag, respectively. CCW also offers a variant for .308 Magpul mags which turns two 20-round mags into a single 41-round mag.
They should have made it a side couple.
Wait, California and 41+ round mags in the same sentence is very confusing.
How? They are coupled base to base. This looks slower than side by side and it isn’t a true 50 round mag if it doesn’t feed 50 rounds continuously.
It does, the follower on the bottom mag becomes the baseplate.

In the picture it does appear that they have conjoined the mags baseplate to baseplate… This could cause some confusion to potinial consumers.
It does feed contiuously. The coupler replaces the factory base pads. Keep in mind that this was designed for competition, not duty, and has been around longer than the surefire 60’s.
