Adaptive Grand Slam

The Adaptive Grand Slam is a multi-year event in which 5 wounded Veterans are attempting to climb the 7 highest peaks on the 7 continents as well as walk unsupported to the geographical North and South poles. Started in 2011, the Adaptive Grand Slam team has already completed the walk to the Geographic North Pole along with HRH Prince Harry, completing 2 world records in the process. As of last year, they have also managed to summit Mt. McKinley in North America. This June, the team will be attempting to summit Mt. Elbrus (Russia/Europe), followed by Mt. Kilimanjaro (Africa) in November. Adaptive Grand Slam is expected to extend through 2017, with the team also looking to summit Mt. Everest (Asia), Mt. Aconcagua (South America), the Carstensz Pyramid (Australia), and Mt. Vinson (Antarctica), as well as complete the walk to the Geographic South Pole.
