Seriously been thinking about dumping the FF Quad rail and going back to MOE. Simple is better I think.
That said I need to see some specs on these new rails. Are they lighter and possibly thinner than the current MOE? I don’t see mid-lenght on their site. Hopefully this time around they don’t wait a year or more after the carbine is out to release the longer ones.
I read some place that Magpul is only going to make black mags going forward. All other colors will be phased out. I wonder of their other products will be this way also??
This is straight from their website: “With the launch of Stealth Gray across the board, we will be discontinuing Foliage Green as a color option, to be completely phased out by the end of 2014. Also, based on demand and to maintain consistency across our line of magazine products, all non-black MOE magazine color options will be discontinued by the end of 2014.”
stocking up on FDE. how the hell are we supposed to make bakelike and plum colored AR mags in 2015?

Hmmm I am ok with the Mags as I have move to L5 AWM’s and only black, but I like FDE. I hope their hand guards, stocks, grips etc still come in FDE.
Only the MOE line is going to black only, not everything.
Only the magazines, regardless of model, are going to black only. The MOE line, minus magazines, will still be made in colors.

Frankly, magazines are consumable items and the costs of maintaining multiple SKUs for magazines are considerable. Folks who are truly worried about the color of magazines will likely just use Krylon.
Just the PMAGs are going to all black. All furniture will continue to be produced in colors. Foliage green is phased out in lieu of Stealth Gray.
I like the buttstock but already I see a problem. No room for accessories like a cheek riser.
If you need a cheek riser this probably isn’t the stock you are looking for. It’s a MOE stock meaning it’s meant to be at more of an entry level price and feature set.
If you need a riser, the CTR or MOE are still your best bets
