    Hey if you shoot shitty ammo it will still blow the suppressor off the end. Ie the lwrc and federal ammo problem. Same happened to me just I was running my mr556 and a surefire so on suppressor.

    After shooting, at what point should one be concerned when it comes to removing the suppressor? You say wiggling it due to carbon, but full on, taking two grown men to remove…. Problem?

      Unfortunately the Surefire Socom suppressor is notorious for being extremely hard to take after extended use. I have seen guys fail to get them off with vices and vice grips.

        You can shoot it off, i.e. unlock it and fire one (1) live or blank round and it will fly off. Totally safe and there’s several videos online that show it being performed safely.

          How much experience do you have with this suppressor, cause I have dealt with about 150 of these things. And we tried that little trick, didn’t work to well. We initially thought do to how hot the Surefires got compared to the old Knights can we had, that they were possibly welding on due to how hot they were getting. When you have armorers destroying the flash suppressor threads getting the cans off you got a problem.

              During the t@e we were having problems just from dumping 5 mags in a row full auto, but we were going around a couple thousand rounds between taking them off while training. Which wasn’t really a problem for the Knight’s can but were for the Surefire ones. Guys were use to the Knight’s cans.
