Magpul Announces New Black Book Series

Today, Magpul Industries has announced their brand new Black Book Series. The Black Book Series is a collection of knowledge created to aid and enhance shooters experiences in the field by offering modules covering a variety of military and practical field subjects.

The two products first available in series are the Precision Rifle Quick Reference Cards and the Precision Rifle Data Book 2.0. They, along with the majority of future products under the Black Book Series, are printed on a PVC material that gives users true all-weather capability, and are sized to fit in standard uniform pockets and wrist boards. We are super excited about the possibilities the Black Book Series offers, and look forward to seeing what else Magpul will be releasing under this new label.

Sounds pretty cool, depending on price I might pick up a copy although I suspect it probably contains far more info than I, personally, need. Then again, it can’t hurt to know a little extra can it, there’s no such thing as too much knowledge.

Now, how long until the comments about it being worthless, a copy of somebody elses product, costs too much, or any of the other inane complaints that always seem to pop up.

I’m super stoked about this line. It’s something new for them and very useful.

Same, although not much use for the precision rifle ones, but still awesome… any idea on the time frame for other versions?

          • SSD says:

Not yet, up until noon today I was told these were on indefinite hold.

              Ok thanks

We’ve got a bunch of titles in the works. Next ones will probably release after SHOT show, as we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us with more traditional products for upcoming releases.

We used to call these hip pocket lessons. Team Leaders were encouraged to have a lesson in the cargo compartment, and to pull the lesson out when waiting to shoot, get on a plane, etc.

Good on Magpul for creating these.

I hope other companies do the same thing.

These look pretty interesting, and the price point won’t be too painful for an experiment. Wonder if any of my LGS will stock them…
