A little over a year ago, Are Armor introduced the Derma Plate Carrier which features this unique buckle from AustriAlpin. During this week’s SWAT Roundup in Florida a new buckle appeared from a different manufacturer.
It’s not an exact copy, but it was obviously created to accomplish the same function. Certainly inspired. Barring any IP issues, let the market decide.

If there are any IP issues we all know Ares armo will sue the shit out of them.
Part of the system (the buckle) looks similar, but the totality of the systems look to be completely different. The Ares is a whole cummerbund replacement system. The Bushido is just a buckle.
Buckle replacements for PC Velcro aren’t new.
I get calling out IP theft, but this is stretching.
I’ve seen where Bushido does make a replacement cummerbund kit, and the buckles do look a lot similar in design.

Imagine that: ADF manufacturing and the Raptor team copy another Austrialpine Cobra product… Why is anyone surprised? Bet anyone $50 bucks its stamped with false strength ratings again. I can’t understand why zee austrians aren’t sueing the hell out of them by now!

They can’t copy Ares Armor’s quality. Just another knock off.
