Grey Ghost Gear – Paladin Belt

Paladin Belt

The Paladin belt is constructed from two layers of 1.75″ MilSpec webbing, allowing it to fit through military issue BDU and most standard belt loops, and an Austrialpin Cobra buckle. The Paladin features a redundantly reinforced loop, as well as channels throughout for attaching pouches, hostlers, etc.

Available in Black, Coyote Brown, and MultiCam.

Any idea if the spacing lines up with molle spacing? Since TYR isn’t able to sell to retail shops any longer it would be nice to have an item that fills the same role as their Gunfighter belt and this looks prime for that…

I own this belt, chose it over all the other belts because of the MOLLE webbing. Haven’t really used it for that purpose yet but its very well made and they offer an XS size (I’m a 28 waist.)

Also know that this belt is not reinforced. It’s sturdy, but there’s no liner stiffening it like some other belts.

Mike, the channels on the Paladin are 0.25″ wider than standard 1.25″ spacing.

It appears that the buckle end needs to be removed in order to fit through the belt loops, is this the case for standard BDU loops? If it does need to be removed, do you have any plans for using a smaller buckle that would not need to be removed?

You just treat the buckle as one part. You unweave the nylon and leave both halves of the buckle connected while you feed the nylon through the loops. I have 215Gear CCB and while they use the smaller buckles most of my pants still require this procedure.

Which pretty much negates the need for the Cobra buckle over what has to be the far less expensive, and far less cool, friction buckle found on the typical riggers belt. Unless it’s being worn as an over-belt or duty belt it is essentially pointless. Even under the most dire cases of bad-water explosive diarrhea I’ve managed to undo rigger’s buckles without loss of life or dignity.

If you plan to use this for MOLLE pouches, then it won’t be like a standard belt, and a quick release buckle would a lot more convenient so you could tuck any excess tail behind pouches.

There is the Son of Paladin that is 1.5 inches and has a 1 inch cobra buckle on it. you should be able to weave it through the pants.

it will hit the shelves in a few weeks. it is also more sturdy and like a gun belt.

Out of context but I was wondering what the ETA on the waxed canvas backpack is. Also any details if it will be in 500D nylon and camo colors? Thanks

    • GW says:

No plans for 500D versions. the Throwback is being manufactured right now and should be ready to reveal in Late March early April. There will be several colors, Black / Olive. Tan/ OD and there will be a grey one soon.

Awesome great work but would love to see it in 1000D of 500D. Any other pack designs coming out. Maybe in the future a larger stealth pack? Thanks for the reply and always great products.
