Speak for yourself, I’ve done this in two different branches and if I never see another CBO or JSLIST, I’ll die happy.

  2. Eddie says:

Really hope we go to solid color JSLIST equipment in a transitional tan, every war with the possibility of chemical threat is just going to keep looking like Iraq with woodland and desert suits with current pattern body armor and equipment. Good color for it would be the color they chose for the new fuel handlers coverall as seen on PEOSoldier’s Flickr. Really would pair up nicely with the new OCP, and Marines wouldn’t look too bad in it either.

If we had to use this equipment in a real environment and in an actual attack, I wouldn’t give a shit if it were pink, orange, blue or red TBH.

You should probably try and become a CSM some day, Eddie, they need more dress right dress and uniformity type minds like yours. Fuck practicality and functionality right?

      • Chuck says:

        lol

      • diggler says:

s-stop. We are inundated with those types already. You haven’t lived till you’ve seen a CSM lose his shit when someone confuses sage and foliage green.

        • Darrel says:

Didn’t know there was a difference to be honest. Always considered Sage to be for Boots and Foliage to be for equipment.

    • Chuck says:

My JSLIST in 2009 was solid OD green. Obviously never dawned it, but it would have been fine for Mosul. I was under the impression all NEW JSLIST was OD.

Beyond the CSM clowning, bear in mind that Woodland is in no way an “obsolete” pattern. Matter of fact, USASOC is still authorized to wear it. And does. In dusty, dangerous places. Where it works. Well.

Publicly released pictures of SOF guys doing this kind of training at home station are gonna use training kit. The go-to-war stuff is not Woodland.

Camo in a CBRNE environment in barely even an emerging need. Could happen but the past has shown the those munitions are delivered from distance, and there’s more recent chatter about delivery via SVBIED/SVest. Either way, not so many bad guys to conceal oneself from.

Training to shoot under stress while masked–which I did even as the “least special” part of the SOF community–is way more important.

Screw that crap, I got suckered into NBC when I joined the Corps. Boy did it sound like a cool job. It was kind of cool having an important job in OIF1 but that didn’t last long, lol. I fixed my mistake and became a grunt. I don’t want to see or hear about a Sarotoga suit or JSLIST again, haha.

  4. Paladin-jobs says:

CBRN kit and body armour, let the fun times begin.

Can we stop throwing “we” around
