Check out Mystery Ranch’s newly imagined website. I think you’ll find navigation a bit easier.

My country’s army has gear in similar to FG. I would basically like the NICE frame in FG (I basically plan to by a FG crewcab loadout) with the molle stuff in frame as in the CB military variant. From the last website it looks like the FG frame did not have this molle. Also this new site is kinda harder to tell this also.

Looks like they dropped a few of their offerings and colors.

I’ve been told that their entire color scheme is going to change.

  4. SteveB says:

If you like Foliage Green, I’d buy sooner than later. As it’s a color derived from UCP, it’s days are numbered. Soon the market for it will be so small, that it will be dropped by almost every manufacturer.

I will admit that I like the new website except for two things most of the videos aren’t related to the product they are under and they don’t seem to post any reviews that are submitted. I submitted two reviews on the SATL and neither one is viewable. I didn’t say anything bad about the packs, simply made some suggestions on some minor improvements.

    Rob,
    They are up now.

Great Site, looking good MR. I just refer people to MR and one other company when it comes to high end, high quality packs, no one buys that stuff from us.

Is it still possible to buy only the bags without the frame ? Because I don’t see any button for that compared to the old site.

    • Will C says:

I called MR the other day with same question and was told you had to buy both. Don’t understand this logic from MR.

      • Will C says:

From MR website Faq: Is it possible to purchase a NICE Frame pack without a frame?
We’re moving to a kitted system so that we can design and build packs and frames that are optimized for integration based on the function of the product. There are some cool new things in the works. In the mean time, we may be able to accommodate pack only orders based on available inventory – contact MR Customer Service or call 406-585-1428

They removed some Color options as well as a LOT of accessories. The Three Way Expandable briefcase is only available in woodland, and I was thinking about buying one in black. I was on the fence about this purchase, and I checked this a little over a month ago.

I also notice the SATL is no longer available in black, unless it was never available in that color.

  10. Darrel says:

I also don’t understand why they don’t release their EDC-type packs in colors that aren’t ridiculous. Woodland? Really? The only people who can get away with wearing woodland and not looking like military are Japanese urbanites. I know the MR market is HUGE in metropolitan Tokyo, and I get that that color scheme works there, but it is not appropriate for most Americans.

I wish they would use some sort of neutral colors like blues, burgundy, non-foliage greys, etc. Most people who are willing to spend the big bucks on Mystery Ranch for EDC are looking for something that doesn’t look so obtuse.

Accessories (normally made in Philippine) are cheaper to buy in Japan with exchange rate…just saw bunch of them at airport gift shop there.
