MAXPEDITION – ROLLYPOLY Folding Dump Pouch 10th Anniversary Video

MAXPEDITION released a video in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their ROLLYPOLY Folding Dump Pouch. Designed by and licensed from Cass Chin of Military Morons, the ROLLYPOLY is a compact dump/utility pouch with a minimal footprint which easily attaches to either a belt or PALS webbing. When fully unrolled, the standard ROLLYPOLY is capable of storing up to 7 M4/AR-15 magazines either vertically or horizontally.

It’s been a few years since I got my Rollypolly…I didn’t realize they had come out with some many different variants since then.

  2. Geoff says:

I dunno but I’m kind of over the whole Maxpedition thing. So many other vendors with similar and/or better products at better prices, made in the U.S.

To MM’s credit, he does not pretend to be a military/operator wannabe at all. His reviews are purely based around his experience as a civilian shooting enthusiast. Emdom gear is made for civilians, and all of his collabs fit into a certain niche. I love most of my emdom products, regardless of who they are made for, or where they are made.

You don’t need combat experience to have opinions about gear. His selling point is not his opinion, it’s his pictures and the sheer volume of reviews and information he puts out, and how long he’s been in the industry.

Maxpedition used to be a good brand, but they have really fallen behind, just like a lot of other good brands from that bygone era when soldiers were looking for the hottest new thing to take on deployment with them.

Darrel +1 on your comments about MM.

I visit his site regularly and always find his perspective on gear worth the read. I’ve never seen him pretend to be anything he’s not.

I can’t say that I have bought or used Maxpedition gear but have used Emdom products.

And I have almost exclusively used the very similar EGL version of the fold up dump pouch for years on all my rigs. I like the design a lot.

I wish it had been my idea. If MM came up with the original design then he deserves to be raking in the royalties.

Oh boy, here we go again. Another hysterical patriotism comments on Maxspedition article.
They complained about lack of license from Maxpedition products so they collabed with American guy. Now the dudebros attacking the collab guy for his lack of tour.
I don’t see anyone complaining on 5.11, Crye, Arcteryx, or other countless companies about their lack of duty. And no one criticize those various American companies producing Maxpedition ‘Inspired’ products.

I’m not here to defend Maxpedition or spite flamewar. But the extensive amount of same old hypocritical, hysteric patriotism response that appears on every Maxpedition articles just makes me cringe.
Also Maxpedition is from Taiwan. Not a single product from Maxpedition is produced in Chinese mainland. There are no connection between Maxpedition and China.

You know about Taiwan and their relation between China, right? Or are you the guy who think every single yellow skinned people are either one of “Chinese” or communist?
Apparently you watched too many vietnam war movies.

Jon from OPT made a great point on the last page about MM derived products:

    – They fing work.
I own some and they are good kit, that is more affordable than other offerings. Most 11Bs don’t have the cash to supplement their kit with First Spear / Crye / Mayflower / Gucciwho gear.

Not everything made overseas sucks, not everything made in the USA is star spangled quality.

  6. Jon, OPT says:

I think anyone who knows designers in the industry understands just how little having served really means. Higdon, Carver, Talbot, Crye, MM, etc…

My comment isn’t about that. I actually dropped this item this year, not because of design, but because of Berry alternatives that come in our operational camo pattern. I love the design, but I don’t need 5 versions on my site, so I chose the ATS since it does better sales, comes in the right colors, and meets my intent with a Berry alternative over an import IF possible.

If you think Taiwan is Chicom, you need to go read your history. Also Max builds to a very high standard, the best next to Emdom and Haz 4 that I have seen for imports. They may not be all original designs, but you also can’t throw a stone in the industry without hitting one of their designs taken by another company.

Thank you for the comment on Taiwan. I wish it was less confusing to most people (since Taiwan is called the Republic of China) and that more people knew that the democratic and self governed island nation of Taiwan is _not_ China, or a part of China.

  7. jmac says:

MM is good people. If you don’t know, you just don’t.

  8. bloke_from_ohio says:

The juche nonsense is strong in this thread. Demanding that all products be made in the USA by battle hardened 29 tour former door kickers is silly. We are not the NORKs. Nativism in the guise of economic patriotism is not how America works.
