H.I.P.S. Concealment Pistol Pouch

Wilson Combat’s Hide In Plain Sight holster offers a concealable carry option that is built to look like a belt storage case. The holster rides high on the belt, offering optimal comfort when seated. It’s designed to fit on heavy gun belts up to 1.5″ via double belt slots. The main compartment, which seals with a two-way YKK zipper, has a Velcro holster that can be adjusted to fit a variety of compact pistols. A secondary pocket allows for storage of an additional magazine, flashlight, or other emergency item, while a third zippered front pocket can hold smaller items such as keys or an ink pen. The H.I.P.S. is constructed from 1000 denier Cordura nylon and is available in two color configurations, all black and black w/ gray front.

Why not just call it what it is… a fanny pack. I don’t care how much of a bad ass you are you can’t be hardcore with a fanny pack!

  2. Paste says:

Hide in plan sight? Really? A side mounted fanny pack is some how less conspicuous? To me it looks more obvious than the “I’m a cop” fanny pack. Either that, or a nice way to accessorize your enormous colostomy bag.

Get you some aquarium tubing and food coloring and gun grabs may be less of an issue…

The polar opposite of the insane practice of concealing a firearm in a tablet computer case…

  3. shitmagnet says:

Wow. That just has deep cover written all over it. No one would ever think there was a gun inside…

  4. Terry says:

Would I be twice as cool if I had one on each side?

  5. Joe says:

Let me just echo the incredulity of the above comments.

  6. Doug E. Doug says:

Holy shit who thought this was a good idea?

  7. Maybe they’re trying to fool you into thinking you have a camera or a set of binoculars in there for bird watching and then all of a sudden “WAMM-O” here comes a custom 1911…

    Have a good one,
    Connor

    • SSD says:

If I see even a mild mannered guy walking around with this I’m gonna think gun. I’d say that the average SSD reader would think the same thing. But, like Connor says, the average person isn’t going to automatically assume that.

      • JP says:

So now reading a tactical blog makes someone an above average person? I’d venture to say that a majority of readers are completely average citizens. Hell, look at your sister site Tactical Fanboy and its below average crowd. It’s likely that they all visit this site as well.

Rediculous pouch. Must have been a pretty dime they paid for the ad.

        • SSD says:

I’d say the SSD reader is above average (current company apparently excluded). Not because reading SSD does anything to change the course of genetics but because we attract the best.

  8. straps says:

And who’s the Day Walking Death Dealer that’s modeling that thing?

  9. Michael says:

“Don’t mind me. I just carry my lunchbox on my hip.”

  10. OCCD says:

I picked up virtually the same thing in a thrift store for two bucks. It’s essentially a “carry all” bag with several pockets. It also has a detachable shoulder strap if you don’t want to wear it on a belt.

  11. Mike says:

Nobody even bothers to bring up the fact that Tactical Tailor has been selling the Lunar Concealed Carry Pouch for years!!!!

If they are selling this as an improvement well, ok. If they are selling this as an original idea, not so sure.
