The “Everyday” Looking Cobra 2.5 from ATS Tactical Gear

Cobra 2.5 Two tone 012

ATS Tactical Gear decided to do a short run of a less conspicuous version of their Cobra 2.5 packs. These are a Ranger Green and Black combo in 500D. Same dimensions and same price as the existing 2.5’s: $152.00. They should be on the web site within a couple days.

I like a good sturdy pack like anyone else, but for 152 dollars you can get a bag that will last you just as long and most likely have nicer features to it. This thing looks run of the mill.

Why would you come on here and bash a competitor’s product. Poor form.

      • Alex says:

So one should only comment to praise a product ? SSD do you have business relationship with ATS ?

        • SSD says:

You see an ad banner don’t you? But you’re asking the wrong question. Instead, you need to go ask “jondoe” what he does for a living. Could it be that he is a competitor to ATS? Me thinks yes.

          • Alex says:

Well I have to agree with jondoe …I don’t find the bag all that impressive either or less conspicuous ( both the color and the large velcro). If your trying to stay low profile don’t carry gear made by companies that make tactical gear, it all has a certain look that stands out.

But are you basing your assumptions about his motives on anything other then his comment ? Like an IP address ?

            • SSD says:

Yeah, something like that. If you are going to come here and you make competing stuff you need to identify yourself as such. He didn’t.

About time, and I really dig the look of this. My current Cobra pack is one of my most used packs and I absolutely love it. It will be nice to have a more visually low-profile pack for traveling and everyday use.
