    looks like a GORUCK knock-off.

    • Freeman says:

And Goruck is just a better version of Blackhawk…

    • Mike says:

      Michelle,

Actually just a 500D/molle version of the basic assault pack that has been produced by several companies for about 20 years now.

    • SSD says:

Goruck didn’t invent the 3-day pack, they just succeeded in convincing hipsters that they needed to pay too much for it.

The 3-day pack goes back to a Lowe Alpine Systems design from the 1980s. SOF started buying them and then had other companies make them and by the late 90s it was a commodity item. Everyone makes them. This one happens to be both Berry compliant and inexpensive.

      • JDT says:

It would be interesting to see the original Lowe Alpine pack. Any pics?

        • IRISH says:

I think Gregory had a pack that was similar to Lowe Alpines design as well, the EAGLE A-III was my personal favorite.

  2. Glen says:

That is a sick introductory price for a 3 day assault made in the USA.

  3. Nick says:

so what is the difference between black and ballistic black…?

  4. Nick says:

    Thanks, learned something new

  5. kingof9x says:

if you want to compare this to goruck bags, this is 20 leiters bigger than a gr2.

  6. double d says:

got mine today. this bag is well constructed and larger than i expected. however, it does not come with “load lifters” on the shoulder straps. They would be nice considering the volume of cargo that can be carried.
