Today is Thanksgiving here in the US, a day when we commemorate the hardships of early settlers of our great land. We also take time to reflect on pur own trials and triumphs. Aptly enough, Mayflower Research and Consulting has provided a prize pack consisting of their new Assault Pack and a UW Gen IV Chest Rig. Both are in MultiCam and made from LiteLok fabric.
Mayflower asked us to find this gear a deserving home and we can’t think of any better group to honor than our readership. To enter, tell us what you’re thankful for in the comments section below.
On Friday the 25th, we’ll randomly draw a winner from the comments for the prize pack.
We will contact the winner via the email address you provide when you post your comment, so it would behoove you to enter a valid address you can access.
One entry per person.
You have up to 7 days to claim your prize after we send the winner email. Unclaimed prizes become forfeit.

I am Thankful for my friends and Family
I am thankful for my Uncle Jim who I had the honor of sharing a meal with today. I recently learned that he was an Americal Division LRRP in Vietnam, I had no idea until he mentioned his unit after a brief discussion about some show I had seen.
After researching his unit I couldn’t believe what he had done for his country and he never really talks about his service at all. I thanked him for his service as I try to do often but I am thankful that today I had a little better understanding of what it really was.
I am thankful for the valuable time I get to spend with my family.

I am thankful for my opportunity to reconnect with my second cousin “Uncle” Al. After falling out of touch, we were able to recconect a few weeks ago. A veteran of Team 5, he was paralyzed and now works with the paralyzed veterans of America. I feel honored to know him, as he was one of the major inspirations for me to serve.
I am thankful for so much, but ultimately for the chance to be born in America out of no doing of my own. So many have gone before to provide me the way of life I love. How could I not serve?
I am thankful for good food and a day to spend with family. What else do you need? (Of course, the prize would be nice.)

I’m thankful for living in a time and place where I have freedom, and security from worries about immediate harm from oppressive people. This means I’m grateful to the shapers of our political system, as well as the people that defend it. My many friends in the communities I’m involved in make my life fulfilling. And I’m thankful that I live in a place where I can eventually own some firearms to help defend this beautiful place. I’m thankful for clean water, plentiful affordable food, and so many other comforts I get to enjoy. Most of all, I am thankful for the love of my fellow human beings, and I try to give that back as much as possible. Did I mention the wonderful people involved in Appleseed who taught me how to shoot?
