12 Days of Tactical Christmas – Day #5

Tactical Tailor is sponsoring Day #5 with their Removable Operator Pack. Designed as a ‘Quick Attach Assault Pack’ it features a large main compartment as well as a side entry front pocket. The outside has modular webbing for attaching additional pouches and padded shoulder straps stow away when not in use. Also includes heavy duty zippers, sternum strap, grab handle, loop material for patches and 3l hydration pocket.

Also, don’t forget, today’s winners as well as every other winner, will receive a 2012 Tac Girls Calendar. (Just the calendar, not any of the girls)

Only ever had top loaders when in uniform so I guess it’ll be one of those.

    • Gary says:

Top loaders are all I have ever used for large rucks. I do like panel loaders for assault packs.

    Panel loader

    Top loader

  10. Tim mccarty says:

‘My Precious’ Im a big fan of any pack I dont think a person can have to many of them…this one looks sweet. I carry my EDC bag daily so I look for pockets and imagine all my stuff and where it goes.

  11. matt says:

    Top loader.

  12. Austin says:

Panel loader. Easier to find stuff.

  13. Matt says:

If the zipper fails on a panel loader it can be a big problem. Top loaders are a bit more foolproof so I generally prefer them.

  14. Steve Brittian says:

I like the top load. It can stay upright when you take anything out of it.

  15. CJ says:

Top loader, as I generally just prefer to stuff from the top. Gotta have gravity on your side.

  16. Matt says:

    Top loader

  17. DK says:

    Panel loader.

  18. William M. says:

Nice Kit. Still use my OEF pattern Med Ruck. This would be useful on Short dismoun ops.

  19. Cody says:

For what i need top loaders are the way to go.

  20. Jason cates says:

I would prefer a panel loader.

  21. Carlo says:

Top loaders is where it’s at for everyday stuff. Hiking, long treks, 3+ day stuff, a panel loader would fit me better

  22. Kevin says:

    I’d like a panel loader, were I to win…

  23. John M. Denny says:

Top loader. There’s just less to go wrong.

  24. Sags says:

    Panel loader

  25. Scott Taylor says:

It depends on what Im doing, from every day to 3 day packs I like top loaders. If Im going to be in the woods more then 3 days I take a panel loader.

  26. storm says:

Panel loader, easy acces is vital

  27. Swiat34 says:

I like a top loader for main packs and a panel loader for day/assault packs. I believe top loaders are more durable and it’s always nice to compress you stuff in them.

  28. Brian2788 says:

The top loader, it is easy to pack and access all you need for quick access

  29. Woogie Boogie says:

    Top loader

  30. Don says:

    Top Loader

  31. Ghost1213 says:

I’ve used and own both styles but I prefer the the panel loader. Much easier to access all your gear quickly.

  32. eric corbett says:

top loader, but thats by personel choice.

  33. Dave says:

Panel. Easier to find stuff, easier to pack efficiently.

  34. jack says:

Im guessing a top loader would hold a bunch of C4 better.

  35. Joshua Dayment says:

    Top Loader

  36. Dave says:

    Top loader. Just more durable.

  37. Monty74 says:

Top loader–can always get a little more in and can throw a rope on top if needed.

  38. Ty says:

I like both as long as it doesn’t break and dump my stuff all over the ground

  39. Frank the Tank says:

    Top loader

  40. MarkM says:

Top loader – because the “death loops” strung on zippers won’t dump the contents out in heavy brush the way a panel loader can. Panel loaders are great for EMT’s, a combat jock should have most of what he needs external or packed by priority. The bottom of the pack gets the dead weight and snivel gear.

  41. Chris W says:

Top loader. I like a side access for small items like iPad.

  42. John says:

    Top loader

  43. Andy says:

If it came down to the wire, I would have to put my trust in a top loader.

  44. Curt says:

I like both – but panel for me, I hate digging thou all of my gear to get what i’m looking for. I do put the important stuff on top so it can use it like a top for just a few items.

  45. Trevor says:

Top loader but I use a variety of set ups dependingon what I’m doing.

    Trevor

  46. Clayton says:

    Top loader.

  47. Richard says:

    Top loader for me.

  48. Joe says:

Top loader, simpler and more robust.

  49. Jeff T says:

Top loader. Keeps items more secure and accessible.

  50. Nick says:

    Top loader
