SSD Among Top Military Blogs of 2011

Yesterday morning, out of the blue, we started to get congratulatory emails from our friends. It seems that the Institute for Defense and Government Advancement had recognized us as a Top Military Blog of 2011. We checked out IDGA’s website to see who made the list and we are in some very impressive company. It’s amazing to us, that a site with such a narrow focus would make the cut.

Our fellow honorees:
Small Wars Journal Blog
Danger Room from Wired.com
The Best Defense from ForeignPolicy.com
Blackfive.net

After further investigation, it turns out that the blogs were selected via online vote and we weren’t even on the ballot. We were write-in candidates. This makes the honor even greater and tells us how far our reach goes. Sure, we see the numbers but its always nice to see the evidence of our efforts.

IDGA is a great organization and we are extremely honored to be recognized in such a way. We’d also like to congratulate our fellow awardees. And finally, a big “Thank You” to all of our readers and advertisers. We wouldn’t be here without your support.

You actually make it seem really easy together with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I’d by no means understand. It sort of feels too complicated and very wide for me. I am taking a look forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the dangle of it!
