The color options for the popular Lowa Zephyr keep expanding. Here is a Grey model.
They also showed us the Focus GTX QC. This quarter cut shoe features a Gore-tex lining and a lightweight trekking sole which is actually stiffer then the Zephyr. It also incorporates a unique lacing system with free floating fabric loops that allows a more customized fit across a wider range of foot types.

The guys in our store love the Lowa Zephyr. They wear those things all the time.
Actually, I have a post on another new color of the Zephyr, the GTX Mid AF Commando Sage: http://afmointel.com/footwear/new-year-new-gear-day-1/. The features are the same for all Lowa Zephyr GTX Mid boots and the outsole/materials are the same for all Zephyrs.
The desert boots are great. They feel like a athletic shoe (more saloman, less vasque). So much so that I was excited to check out the gortex boot, ready to throw down on one of each. Unfortunately it seemed pretty standard and left something to be desired.
Has anyone else had similar experiences? Which Lowa boots are you running?
