“Doomsday Preppers” the Real Dirttime Story

Dirt Time‘s Christopher Nyerges, speaks with colleagues Dude McLean and Alan Halcon about his role in the National Geographic show “Doomsday Preppers.” I like the show but it’s good to hear about the drama that is injected into the vignettes. The show’s producers sure do a good job of making people look silly.

It’s good to see Christopher ( Dude & Halcon) get a chance to point out some of the truth behind these survival shows. Real world survival is all about REDUCING drama and television production is all about inducing it. Several very capable and professional survival instructors have been made to look like complete idiots by editors and directors. Some of these guys have been walking the walk for their entire adult lives and are very generous in spending time to share their skills. Christopher is one of them, along with David Wescott, Joe Bigley and the late Ron Hood, to name a few. There are others who try to parley their real or imagined military experience into instant credibility and fame.

Hell, what do I know, I’m nobody.

Myself and some friends were on the first episode that aired in Texas. They totally cut out our interviews where we talked about being former military and getting caught in hurricanes in LA and TX.

They made the couple that was the focus of the show look really off. I had known them off and on through classes and never knew that they even believed in the polar shift that was indicated.

But was still fun and my son loved being able to show all his friends that he was on tv

it IS a shame, yet, I must say that more and more people are beginning to take note. Education is #1
