Crye Precision and their invention, MultiCam, are featured in the article “The Art of Getting Lost” in issue 56 of the magazine Monocle.
At Monocle’s website is a fantastic video featuring Caleb Crye discussing what motivates his workforce and unveils a few lesser known projects like a lightweight dirt bike and new design concepts for diving equipment. Additionally, Gregg Thompson weighs in on one of my favorite causes, American manufacturing.
The magazine is worth picking up as it’s packed with facts and is very well laid out. I got mine at Barnes & Noble.

I picked up a copy yesterday at Barnes & Noble as well. All in all its a great issue, and a really nice piece on Crye.
Just a shame that they repeated the misconception that MultiCam is going to replace UCP as the Army’s next generation of camouflage.
I picked up a copy as well before i saw this article along with a copy of No Easy Day…im already half way through it
I walked in looking for a copy of ‘No Easy Day’ and left without it. Sold out everywhere in Va Beach area.
Is that magazine available online?
I am a big fan of Caleb Crye. I really admire him and his job.

Taken with a grain of salt, there is a HUGE trove of defense-oriented news in that issue.
Monocle is the magazine equivalent of that overly pretentious dude in the next cubicle who comes up with a zinger now and again.
