ADS Inc displayed their US4CES family of camouflage patterns at AUSA. It was great to be able to see all three patterns along with accessories in the OCIE/PPE pattern. We secured a set of caps as a giveaway to our readers.
To enter for your chance to win the set of caps featuring US4CES Arid, Transitional and Woodland patterns (the prize does not include the ITAR restricted US4CES placards, just the caps) state in the comments section of this post on SSD your favorite camouflage pattern. Be sure to use a valid email address as we will use it to randomly select the winner at 2359 ZULU (GMT) on 4 November 2012. One entry per person. Void where prohibited.

Developed in concert with HyperStealth Biotechnology Corp‘s Guy Cramer, US4CES is considered a Digital Textured Pattern which utilizes shape and color to give the illusion of 3-dimensional shapes.

My favorite camouflage pattern is tigerstripe.
I would totaly wear these at school if I got them. I wish though that my friends at school knew what US4CES was. I wouldn’t have to take the time to explain to them what is and that It’s one of the top four contenders in the Army Camouflage Improvement Program (that by itself is another lengthly disccusion). I would probaly direct them to Soldier Systems for a better explanation and clarity.
A-Tacs AU.
I have seen a lot of patterns, but my all-time favourite is the Latvian NBS-2006 digital camo!
My favorite pattern is Multicam. Works amazing here in South Florida.
My favorite camo pattern has always been the U.S. Night Desert grid pattern. (It was thought that the pattern could defeat night vision equipment) I treasure my all my old gear in the grid pattern, especially since most of it is reversible with the Desert Storm pattern on the other side. I have always thought it was a neat concept….even if it didnt work that well.
Was Multicam but US4CES OCIE looks to have surpassed it.
Favourite camo?
That’s difficult.
There are a lot of great looking patterns out there. Present ones and old patterns.
A pattern I really like and I have spent some money on is the WW2 British windproof camouflage pattern.
It looks great and a lot of other patterns evolved from these British brush stroke patterns.
Finnish M/05 winter version
My favorite one is the oldschool DPM of the british army.
My favorite pattern is multicam, but I think if anything can beat it, it will be the US4CES transitional
The Brit’s version of Multicam, they took an awesome thing and made it their own without completely reinventing the wheel.
Multicam, or AOR2
Well the US4CES of course!
Always liked rhodesian camoflauge
my favorite pattern will always be multicam. It works, if pilots have a hard time seeing our guys on the ground in multicam that should be the pattern that the US Army goes with.
I’m faving on the US4CES Woodland right now. If I had to roll out in my own AO, woodland would be the best option. Sure as hell not a set of grey ghosties! Heh…
As much as I like multicam, My favorite camo pattern is still Woodland, its timeless, and it works great in the woods of NC!
Multicam but that OCIE pattern isn’t too shabby either.
I love the concept of the US4CES patterns, they blend in, and the branding for the Army is there too!
Denmark’s Flecktarn
The German flecktarn pattern is interesting to me and thus my favorite.
US4CES Woodland and Marpat
My favorite camo pattern I have seen and used is oldschool jungle tiger stripe. However out of the three in this article, I would say i prefer the woodland camo
I like the multicam, but after checking out the US4CES patterns, I really like them a lot better!
That US4CES Transitional pattern looks great, deffinantly my new favorite.
Depends on the environment. I wouldn’t call it a pattern, but the new Arc’Teryx Grey Wolf is great in low light urban areas. They did some pretty cool research on what was the best shade to blend in.
As for patterns, Cryes Multicam is awesome. But US4CES Arid looks like it would be a real winner for the current battlefield.
The old grey based urban camo. That way you knew you were either a bad guy in an 80’s movie or a group of rouge marines taking over Alcatraz.
I’m a fan of that Brookwood woodland pattern, just kidding.
All jokes aside I’ve really warmed up to the US4CES Transitional Pattern, it’s my new favorite hands down.
I’d have to say the AOR patterns the Navy came out with, both the AOR 1 and AOR2 combine an effective pattern, in addition to actually being a functional uniform(finally).
I’ve always been a fan of multicam, but I like what I’ve seen of A-TACS. This one seems to have promise too, but I haven’t had any hands on yet.
My favorite pattern is multicam. I do like the US4CES Arid pattern too.
I am partial to multicam, but only because i have already gone through the pain of sourcing all of my gear in that pattern.
Always been a fan of good ol woodland
US4CES Transitional is my current favorite.
i would have to say my fav camo would have to be Multicam but i def comming around to the US4CES
ATACS-FG currently loving the way it works in UK woodland in summer or winter!
Arid FTW.
Apparently I’m the only one here who still likes US woodland. While there are better patterns out now, woodland is still a very viable pattern.
Multicam seems to have much going for it
Current is MC but the US4CES Transitional is looking fairly awesome.
Washed out and dusty DPM and German Flecktarn still looks good.
It may sound crazy but WWII German Waffen SS “Blurred Edge” Pattern, (circa 1941-1944) was and still is amazing stuff.
I would say with the camo competition going on my favorite pattern is whatever replaces UCP the fastest. I will admit that I wish A-TACS was in the running
Pencott badlands
The old Vietnam Tiger Stripe – because I can’t picture The Duke wearing anything else.
I have to go back to the 6-color desert uniform, aka “chocolate chips”. Watching Desert Storm unfold while I was in high school inspired me to enlist in ’93.
I’ve always liked patterns with large, contrasting color blocks so that they don’t “blend” into a big blob like so many other patterns. That said, the Norwegian M98 works well for wooded terrain.
Favorite Camo =
Hyde Definition / PenCottâ„¢ GreenZone
up until the introduction of: US4CES Woodland which seems to be the best for where I live.
I would have to say AOR 2 would have to be my favorite. My 3-day pack looks great in it. The digital camo is new age and think it will take over.
US4CES of course!
