My favorite, having been wearing it overseas for some time now, is multicam. It’s a much better and more effective implementation of the ideas of the woodland BDU but in pattern sizes that make more sense and are more effective.
Looking at the new US4CES I really like the transitional. It would work well here overseas.
I would go with the US4CES Transitional camouflage. Seems to be a compromise.
I like woodland cadpat.
I have liked Multicam since before it was cool.
Favorite pattern (esthetically): A-TACS FG, also because it reminds me of the Rebel’s camo on Endor in Star Wars VI.
Probably the most effective in my area would be Realtree APG – lots of woods where I live…
For all that is holy in camouflage please select US4CES as the new Army camouflage. Hands down the best camouflage I’ve seen since MARPAT and makes the most sense. Honestly I’m so impressed that it should be adopted DOD wide as the standard pattern.
Definitely my favorite pattern is Multicam. I love it.
why are people picking out which of the three they like the best? if selected, they will come as a set depending on the environment.
that said, i think its a mistake to not have a brighter yellow based green (spring green?) in the woodland pattern. foliage is more vibrant colored than most people realize. the OCIE pattern also needs some darker green in it. its too light overall
I think transitionall pattern would work well, but here in Canada, woodland cadpat work way better than multicam. But, then autumn is here, and WL works not quite well. Some works in more field then others. But just like a sniper, he adapts himself depending the area, we would need a camo for each environnement, (sorry for the bad bad english).
The Transitional Camo version looks great, also looks more effective than whats commercially available now. I will say though that I am a fan of multicam, but over the years multicam has seem to become the bog standard.
Multicam’s still my pick unless HyperStealth releases something better using SmartCamo.
CUEPAT-2, being an urbanite.
I’m gonna say my favorite camo pattern is lime-based ERDL.
I like the Woodland pattern. looks like it would be great up here in the rain forest
I am a real fan of all the ATACS family of patterns, especially FG. I also like the British desert DPM as well, but mostly for aesthetic reasons.
I like MTP, the British version of Multicam. For some reason I prefer the shape of the organic parts…
woodland hands down!
Favorite pattern of all time: Mitchell Pattern: Green side. , 2nd runner up: Green Dom ERDL. Hands down sexy! All in all, I think this US4CES looks like the camo from Avatar… The photos i’ve seen so far dont impress me. Look at Cryes track record with boner-cam, Everyone loves it, now imagine the craze when they release the other 2 patterns.
Have to go old school on this one. Favorite camouflage pattern: Woodland BDU.
I am a huge fan of multicam, however here in Northern Alberta I think the transitional pattern would work best.
Hopefully a major maker like Propper will pickup these patterns. If so I’d like to try a set.
I’ve been making gear for the better part of five years now, and I used to say that multicam was hands down my favorite pattern, but I’ve been doing alot with atacs and atacs-fg lately. The atacs fg is one of those patterns that picks up the colors of the area, it gets darker in a forest area and lighter in a desert area. It’s my new favorite.
Tru-Spec Tiger-Stripe is an amazing pattern in my AO, any my favorite.

As you can see, it outperforms M81 Woodland, and Multicam.
