Created as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show’s Design Challenge 2012, the Ener-G-Force from Mercedes was envisioned as a highway patrol car for the year 2025.
It features a hydrogen powerplant and abandons the G-wagen’s boxy exterior for some swoopy goodness.

I know it’s a concept and it is sick but that pretty bumper is a no go for patrol work.
Looks cool. If the design features a hydrogen powerplant, I’m going to go out on a limb and guess that part of the instructions to the design team was to ignore cost and the fact that the central and state governments are beyond bankrupt and just focus on features that would be cool.
I foresee designs for future patrol cars going in these two directions: armored against small arms, and more fuel efficient.
It’s a concept car. The purpose of the concept car is to push imagination and possible technology application.
