Core Survival Hel-Star Series Lights

Core Survival has added a couple of new mounting options for the Hel-Star 6. Here you see a chest mount for PALS compatibility.

And then there’s the old crown mounting on a helmet or cap.

They’ve upgraded the nose hinge plug with a living hinge on the Hel-Star 6.

Additionally, they continue to refine the Hel-Star 5 light. The flexible lighting strip is smaller than ever and the LEDs can be programmed to emit different colors or patterns.

I am working on a review of the HelStar 6 with the older nose switch. Its a great product so far and they are willing to do customizations to suit the end user. I only have two gripes the battery cover needs a screwdriver and the modes have to finish their cycle when switched to another mode. So if you had it in SOS mode and moved it over to the next mode it would have to complete the SOS pattern before starting up the newly selected mode. The dual switching system is great and allows you to easily switch between overt and covert but it also allows you to check to make sure its not running.

Still trying to be the Manta, kind of embarrassing Core Survival and now you drag Crye into your mix
