Chip Hardesty from HARRIS Corporation stops by at Warrior Expo West to talk about their Ruggedized Tablet designed for the dismounted warfighter. Chip also discusses the HARRIS InTouch handheld device – a smaller version of the Ruggedized Tablet and the PRC-152A radio designed for the dismounted warfighter. The PRC-152A radio has been adopted and fielded as a Capability Set 13 dismounted radio by the US Army.

One small correction- He mentioned that you could connect the android devices to the radio to view ISR assets. I believe you have to connect to the Harris 7800T to do that; the 152 doesn’t hit the UAV channels/freqs. (7800T is the same size, same battery as the 152, but it’s a UAV-only device.)
Harris makes awesome kit. Other than the 152’s battery design (152 can use a 148 battery, but NOT the other way around since Harris designed in a ridge so that the 148 can’t use it- seriously guys, cut out the proprietary non-interoperability crap already!!!! You’re screwing the warfighter!), I love their stuff.
