Talos LT Halfshell from Arc’teryx LEAF

The Arc’teryx LEAF Talos LT Halfshell is a combat shirt unlike any other on the market. I bought one when they first hit the market a couple months back and I’ve worn it on the range as well as for chores during cooler weather. It is very comfortable and I would consider a standard, true to size cut so it’s not overly tight or baggy either. It is also long enough that it will stay tucked in.

The Talos LT Halfshell is made from a no melt, no drip NYCO 50/50 Cordura yoke/shoulder and 60/40 knit body with articulated elbows, shoulders, and gusseted armpit for full freedom of motion. There are zippered, inset pockets in either upper arm with pile patches. The cuffs feature slotted buttons but the most striking feature is the Rugby-style collar with flat front opening.

Offered in Crocodile, Urban Wolf Grey and MultiCam sizes Small – XXLarge.

Probably the best execution yet of the “combat shirt” design and as noted, the solid-color shirts are passable among the sheeple. This versatility takes SOME of the pain out of the price.

Arcteryx keeps coming out with great gear. Bought the Mattock Drysock to use hiking and tenting, what an excellent product. It makes a day more enjoyable and allows you to stay out longer having dry feet when it’s raining and cold out. Talos LT on order

I’m a big fan of the new surge of hybrid garments. would love to see more lightweight pants built like this (like upland pants for hikers).

I’m a fan of Arc’teryx design & quality, but I’m not so sure on this one… I’ve always preferred the high-collar-design combat shirts to keep my sling and the sun off my neck, but this seems to be lacking that feature.

What’s the collar used for? It could be for venting but a mandarin or letterman collar could have zips for venting.
It’s passable as a grey man shirt but man the price. $180 OUCH!
I know its super high quality but only LE and undercover could afford that.

Guys on the job never pay full retail. Unless they don’t know any better.
