    Actually makes great sense, and no suprise that the Marines are apparently addressing this before anyone else.

    Issues is less about absolute height, but and more about height relative to shoulder/chest girth & waist girth.

    Those of us who are in shape tend to have very wide shoulders/chest and much narrower waists compared to average people of the same height.

    Look at all the Army uniforms which have constricted chest/shoulders, and flare out massively at the waist. But then again, that is what is needed to acccomodate people in the Army…….

      Well since they aren’t making the plates any wider maybe it’s just that short folks are attracted to the Corps.

      That’s why there is a dude modeling it…without the neck and groin protector and the DAPs as well…. with his hands on his hips like he is incharge of something. LOL
