    Would have been nice to get an American made backpack… Opsrey make some nice Kit but the BSA have to seriously look at becoming more BERRY compliant… as an Eagle Scout I would like to see this instilled into our younger Scouts

      While I agree with this sentiment whole-heartedly please remember that American-made comes with a price tag and not all Scout families are well-off enough to make that happen.

        Yes, I agree with your assesment regarding cost, but there are still a few Made in USA companies with Scouting in their upper management/ownership who I am certain would step up to the challenge.

        There is NO reason the BSA and LE should not be supporting those in their own back yards.
