The 80s Called And They Want Their Villain Back

I spent the day observing a Home Defense course by Vickers Tactical at ITI here in Virginia. The course was coordinated by Alias Training & Security Services.

LAV told me that they used this target back when he was in the Army and they called it the Balki after the character from the TV show “Perfect Strangers.” Look for a report on the course soon.

My old agency used a villain target that was, I swear, a photograph of one of the range officers. It was always a little odd to shoot at her.

I saw the turtle neck and high waisted jeans and thought it was the mid 90s because Jerry Seinfeld. Had no clue he was a decade behind in his wardrobe.

Jeez. My unit has stacks of those targets by the hundreds. There’s another target in the same shoot/noshoot set we nicknamed “the pedo” due to his creepy demeanor and nasty mustache.

My old PD used targets that had a white trash guy on it, looked just like the “Undertaker” from WWF.
