patrolling in peltors is such a pain in the back side, the sound of your own breath gets distracting,

Nope, you just have to set up it correctly 🙂
But, hand signals should be made by other hand as i know.

video looks more like an affirmation of multicam to me

Nice two man patrol to keep the National Forests in WA safe from hippies, loggers, and whatever else is out there. Was he drawing a sight picture on Sasquatch?
I’d ask why we had to cross a glacier fed streem for a promo shoot.

Well Will, We shot the promo video for the Patagonia (featuring the Polartec Alpha material) 3 Alpha jacket; making it a very applicable area to highlight the features of the jacket.

    I hope that helps.

I just want to see the Sasquatch you hunted. The water still looks really cold.

        Brett,
If you shot the video for the Patagonia (FEATURING THE POLARTEC ALPHA MATERIAL) 3 Alpha jacket, why does the video not highlight whatever those features are? Instead, you have made a video of some dudes, one of whom can barely skivvy out of his tactical tent (?), walking around in open spaces pointing their weapons which, in all honesty, makes people who are in-the-know, i.e. FM7-8, or 3-21.8 (whatever the Army is calling it these days), become utterly disinterested and immediately scoff at the ridiculousness of the video. Then again, your target audience is probably the people that watch this stuff and think it is “way cool.” Why would you not show it in action?

        • BrettW says:

          Horace,
          Thank you for the response.

There were a number of manufacturers that took part in the video shoot; this is what Diamondhead chose to use for their segment(s) of it. On their videos, they chose what to show and highlight. The shoot in total was for the Patagonia (SOCOM L9 Uniform) line.

Our video (for Elite Defense) is much different (which we are releasing at SHOT show) and does highlight the features of the Jacket.

          Best Regards,
          Brett

My only gripe is that I wasn’t quite sure what was being advertised. The rail and sights were obvious after the 3rd or 4th close up but I wasn’t sure what else was “just what they’re wearing” or actively being promoted here.

I know it’s extra budget $$$ but doing a little bit of video editing to highlight what you want to show off would help. You know, those cheesy sequences where they
            -Zoom in
-Highlight item, blink a few times
-Zoom out and swirl around the item in 3D pointing at a few key advantages of the item
-Zoom back to the regular video
