The SI Ballistic Crosshair is Oakley’s first ever ballistics-rated wire frame glasses. The lenses are made from Plutonite, Oakley’s high purity optical grade polycarbonate, and meet or exceed the balistic fragmentation impact standards as outlined in MIL PRF 31013. The lenses also meet the High Mass Impact Test and optical standards as outlined in ANSI Z87.1-2010, as well as meet or exceed ANSI Z80.3-2008.
The frame is constructed from ultra-lightweight hi-modulus C-5 frame material, with a three-point fit that holds the lenses in precise optical alignment. The frame is compatible with all helmets and helmet-mounted night vision devices. Thin stem technology allows for compatibility with over-ear hearing devices.
Available in Matte Black w/ Grey or Gunmetal w/Grey.

Nice. I must confess to an Oakley addiction that stretches back to their launch. The look I got from a crusty old WO at showing up on range wearing a set of Factory Pilots really spoke to me. He totally nailed “I don’t want to live on this planet anymore”.
Looks like a totally new frame vs. the standard crosshair.
Oakley makes a real quality product and the Crosshair is no exception.
EXCEPT…
It is made for small-medium faces. Those with a wide face or a large frame in general will look more like Morpheus than Maverick in these shades. Try BEFORE you buy. At $260 retail and $130 SI, it’s steep cash for most to drop on a product that might be ill-fitting.
