For what it’s worth, the ability to setup and use a trust for this may be going away soon, if it hasn’t already. The POTUS is working on snuffing that out. Also, the wait to get the license is now up to 12 months.
That is not true. Trusts will not go away but there is a proposed rule change that would require all members of a trust (and corporation) to qualify as agents meaning background checks and fingerprints. Additionally, both trusts and corporations would require CLEO sign off if the change goes into effect.
The wait for a stamp varies between about four months for electronic filing with a trust to over a year for a traditional, paper file.
