Maynard is the king of low/no light training. He may look like a homeless man living under the I10 overpass, but he’s as serious as a heart attack and has been doing this for 3 decades.

  2. Chris M says:

25 deployments? Dude is the real deal.

  3. ODG says:

To say Dave is legit is a gross understatement. Dave IS low-light. He developed the light employment methods that became the Surefire institute. He is a great friend and was a fantastic mentor what he taught me in regard to gun fighting and low-light saved my life and the lives of my Marines in Iraq several times. He is a legend and I am proud to have trained with him for as long as I did. I’m happy to see he’s still out there blowing minds!

I’d like to learn more about how he utilized the 2211. To me, it looked like he was still capable of having a decent grip without ever having his support hand or firing hand move to activate the light. Maybe it’s just me and I’m not paying attention.

I wonder why they didn’t use the video to promote the Green Laser version, which has finally hit retail.
