Violent Little Machine Shop’s Toe Tag Luggage ID acts as the perfect luggage identification tag, with none of the unfortunate implications of a real toe tag, such as announcing one’s untimely demise. Made from American leather, the Toe Tag Luggage ID is double sided, with the opposite side featuring the VLMS logo. The tag is fully secured by steel cable and grommet.

the cable may not secure after period of time …don’t think that’s a good way to secure the luggage tag…
Not sure I understand your concern. This is a heavy-duty, stranded, steel cable. Its the strongest thing I’ve ever seen used on luggage or a key chain.
the cable will eventually come lose from the bolt/screw..I don’t know how you call that! It won’t secure and hold the cable…either end…
It could happen. Sure. The leather tag could rot as well. The bag it’s attached to could wear a hole. A bus could hit you…
that’s different..did you actually had one before? I do and the cable is not really 100% secure at end of that bolt/screw ..a little force could put the cable off..I know you could die tonight with a heat attack…but secure a cable is different story…it can be prevented..but will cost too much to do that! just my 2 cnets!
the picture is here this will give you idea why it will fail..

I bought two of these..one failed without any force..so I never use the other one here…you can see the cable is not 100% secure on both end when they insert into cap/cover…unless you weld them..it will cost too much!…a nylon rope probably will be more secure than the cable…
I’m not sure I see the “coolness” of this product.
Marketing it to the mil seems tasteless to me.
I’ve got one of their Pic rail bracelets, but this just seems like bad Kharma. And just last week I had fresh dental X-rays done and was mentioning how it must help having them digitized for post-mortem ID purposes, even if DNA made dental X-rays sort of old school.
My spell-check wants “mortem” to be “Mortimer.” Anybody named Mortimer, look out.
Not something i would put on my gear….
Oh come on, take it easy. It’s just for fun . . .
