When I spoke with former SEAL Dom Raso, he showed me his new DynAmis Belt named for his company Dynamis Alliance. As you can see in the photo above it’s a low profile, buckle-less web belt. While it will keep your pants up, it pulls double duty as a self defense item thanks to the mesh spare change pocket in the front opening.

Now that is quite excellent! Can’t wait to get my hands on one for international travel.
Xd…gross
Any idea on those knives? Been on the hunt for a good short fixed w/ a kydex sheath isn’t a boker or k-bar

Boker Colubris.. it’s a collaboration between American Kami (DJ Urbanovsky, no stranger to SSD) and Boker with a medium sized blade of ~4″ with a thick spine and great grip. I freaking love this thing. Great compact kydex sheath, too. My Bark River STS-3 (another great compact knife) wasn’t so lucky in the compact kydex sheath department.
The far left knife is the RAT by Guro Harley Elmore
Dom Raso must be getting paid A LOT of money by Springfield to pimp the XD
The black handled knife is the rat by elmore blades, crated in conjunction with Sayoc kali and some SEALS. No idea on the other. Hope this belt comes out in a low pro variant, no two keen on the red logo, maybe a black logo or gray. How is this different than any other standard under belt other than the stash pocket? Will be interesting to see.
This reminds me of the belts we wore in the IDF. The soldier pictured folded his belt under the loop when normally we’d just pull it over the loop and call it a day:

So if the belt doesn’t rely on a buckle, perhaps you could set up a fake one that could act as a fist load. I don’t know, maybe that was the original idea, but it sounds like in order to use this for self defense, you’d have to take the whole belt off which is interesting, but it also sounds potentially messy in a self defense scenario.
Its a common tactic to use the belt as a self defense tool. Leather belt with solid buckle works best.
I don’t know about you, but I dont fight well with my trousers around me knees.
I don’t wear pants that fall off without a belt. Perhaps you should size down.
The knife on the right is a Columbia River S.P.E.W. Nice little wharnclffe, but WAY cheaper than a Bloodshark–the knife that’s usually associated with the Seals into Sayoc and RATs.
Yes, that’s the RAT knife. It’s been the exclusive Lo Vis blade used by Sayoc Tactical Group for the last couple of years and replaced the short lived Bloodshark.
It’s good to hear from you. We need to get some of your stuff on here.
