RazorSix Tactical – AK-WIKQD – Sling Attachment Point for AKs

WIKQD Mount digimark

During a recent trip to Portland, I had a chance to meet the folks from RazorSix Tactical. Their new AK-WIKQD is a sling attachment point designed specifically for the AK platform, adapting most AR-type slings with a QD. No modifications are required, as it screws onto the gas block. This has the added benefit of freeing up a front rail for a light and/or optic.

The AK-WIKQD is made from 6061 aluminum, anodized black and laser engraved with the RazorSix diamond logo.

Made in the USA.

I had a chance to check these out the other day at their small but awesome shop in Hillsboro, OR and it’s a sweet little mount.

After removing everything including the gas tube it slides over the gas block (with some light taps of a gunsmithing type hammer) and is held in place by a Melonited Stainless Phillips Head screw as well as the gas tube.

Simple and very effective. Much better than the lower handguard retainer sling loop.

It worked for both right and left handed on the Arsenal 5.56 they were working on.

Pretty neat, especially as I like my AKs without rails and other do dads.

It’s worth checking out as the AK is kind of limited as far as modularity goes for these type of items.
