QALO Ring – A Functional Wedding Band For An Active Lifestyle

IMG_7051.JPG

Many of us who are married and lead active lifestyles don’t wear our bands because of concerns over injuries. The guys at QALO Ring had the same concerns so they did something about it. They created the QALO pronounced [KAY-LO] for Q-uality A-thletics L-ove O-utdoors. The idea is that it is a bit more malleable and less likely to injure the wearer. Made of silicon, they are available in a variety of colors and both Men’s and Women’s styles.

Just picked up two. Great post

Those look better (size wise) but here is another option. I’ve worn these for years and they’re a little cheaper.

Hmm…I have some buddies that could use these. I don’t do anything cool enough to need one, but I won’t let that stop me.

Pretty interesting concept. I wear a tungsten carbide ring for safety. As tungsten carbide is not compressible, the possibility of crushing and deformation is not a problem. Now, as far as daily wear, these silicone ringslook pretty ccomfortable and they definitely cost a lot less than my tungsten ring did.

Tungsten carbide also won’t protect against de-gloving.

I got mine tattooed, but I’ve been seeing this on Facebook and its a great idea.

Until you get divorced because your wife was getting railed by other dudes. Not that that happened to me or anything…

I have had mine for about a month and love it. Don’t even notice its on most of the time!

  6. Ola says:

Make a google search for “de-ringed”, and you’ll know why you want these.

  7. Jeremy says:

I got mine tattooed. I’ve seen a few people get de-gloved. I might pick one of these up to work as a cover up since the Army has gotten very tattoo unfriendly.

I have one in gray. The only problem I have is when it is wet. It likes to slip around, and sometimes slides off. Otherwise, very comfortable and I like wearing the ring.

    “siliconE”

    Neat concept.

  10. Will says:

    Good for eletrictions too

  11. Bill DeWeese says:

I had a jeweler put “safety cuts” into my wedding band to weaken it it if hung up on something. After he retired from NASA, Neil Armstrong lost part of his finger when his ring got caught on a piece of hardware as he was jumping down from farm equipment.

This looks like a really good idea.

  12. The Stig says:

I just didn’t get married. No problem to solve.

  13. Just says:

Or you could just keep it old school and use thread.
If it gets cut off, just replace it.

Won’t go all squashed oval on you when your left upper cut connects with a jawbone of an ass
