As you likely know, we recently hit 12,000 posts on SSD. We posted a brief announcement, and with the announcement a simple banner image. However, we originally planned to put this much more festive banner up instead.
So, go ahead and tell us: was the simple static white background banner enough, or would you have preferred the more festive option?
Festive colors definitely! We all have too much dull camo and drab colors in our lives here!
Reminds me of some Japanese cartoon with epilepsy inducing flashing lights. If that’s the look you are going for, you nailed it.
Thanks.
Just had a seizure ..
Eh..
More festive; definitely!
Congrat’s SSD!
I like the festive look, and why not? You guys deserve to celebrate.
Congrats! In other news, my eyes are bleeding…
Either one… But have to agree with Jim – there’s only so much drab camo one can intake before one goes into some brand of colour deficit. Cheers and thanks, SSD! Long may you reign supreme!!
Colors are the first choice
No flashy junk – just makes things harder to read.
I agree. TF made two versions. We went with the benign version but I thought the flashy model was so funny I had him post it late at night so it could be used to keep someone up on the graveyard shift.
Is there an SSD drinking game?
Sure!
Every time the above banner changes a color, take a shot of your strongest, cheapest liquor.
Could be useful if you’re lost in the woods and SAR is trying to find you.
Or speed up the color change, hook your computer to a projector, and you got the SSD pukelight!
You went with the right one.
San Francisco called it wants it’s “pride” banner back. Stay classy SSD.
HAHAHA this is awesome

Will this be featured in any future camouflage contest?
Congrats Eric!
I feel there should be a llama reference somewhere on there. (and if you get the reference you may stay home on your next day off.)
Commenter JG who wrote “epilepsy inducing flashing lights” perfectly described my initial reaction. Bravo! I could not state it better.
