6 Responses to “Magpul – Rolling Out Additional M-LOK Accessories”
Now most of the ‘basics’ are out there (possibly excepting a fixed loop sling mount) I’m looking forward to seeing what else emerges. Pretty awesome that you can get a simple, good quality Scout mount for less than $18 now.
With regard to the M-LOK to MOE adaptor this makes it sound like new M-LOK accessories will be able to be used on the older, smaller MOE slots on hand guards. That is contrary to the FAQ they published a while ago:
“Q: I have a hand guard with the original MOE slots. Can I use the new M-LOK accessories on it?
A: No, M-LOK accessories will not fit into the MOE slots without modification. MOE accessories, however, will work on an M-LOK slot with a small adapter plate.”
Or am I reading this wrong? I just bought a Colt LE6920MP-B and was thinking I would have to use the older MOE accessories, but if I am reading this release right I could get the new ones if I so chose as long as I used these adaptor plates.
You are correct. We found a way to use an adapter plate to allow M-LOK accessories to be mounted on original small hole MOE handguards. In this configuration the M-LOK accessories are not direct attach but that is normal for all legacy MOE accessories. The MOE accessories to M-LOK handguard solutions are still in the pipeline to be released soon.
Found out the hard way that SL Handguard would not support MOE rails. I mounted an MOE rail at the 11 oclock position and scratched the heat shield all up and it would not go on the SL stock, wish I would have known. Plus I had to drill out the sling rivet for the SL Hand guard. Bought an M LOK 9 slot for 20.00. Now I see that a less expensive polymer rail will be available. I will hold off on additional rails until the polymer is released. Happy none the less
Until Magpul releases a M-LOK version of the AFG2, I’m not committing to their new system. I still have not bought a handguard, partly because I’m waiting (hopefully not in vain) for the M-LOK AFG2 or at least a M-LOK AFG.
I’m betting a *LOT* of people are waiting for a M-LOK AFG2. Magpul would be wise to release M-LOK versions of both the AFG and AFG2 by mid-November so they could be bought as Christmas gifts. They would be the perfect tactical stocking stuffers for “get off the X-mas”™. 😉
I noticed the M-LOK system has been out for more than 6 months, and yet almost no one but Magpul is making M-LOK accessories. :\ I find that very disappointing.

Awesome, now I have even more options. Thank you for the reply.
