Rail Riders Bushwacker Weather Pants

I ran across these and thought they were cool. I don’t own a pair but I’ve had Rail Riders clothing in the past that is both comfortable and tough.

I have the Versa Tac Mid pants, and they are some of the toughest pants I own. Railriders is a very underrated company.

Nice looking pants and not too badly priced at $99, a bit more than the Blackhawk and Tru-Spec pants I have but not outrageous either.

Quick question, how heavy are these pants, or more specifically the material? I realize that it says it’s made from 2ply 3oz Duratlite Nylon but that means nothing to me and it might as well be Greek. It sounds like they’re light, how do they compare to say, 100% ripstop cotton?

Classic carhartts are 12oz duck. 3oz is typical zip-off nylon hiking pant weight. Nylon is much stronger then cotton so don’t fear the thinness.

    Yay! They have 36″ inseams.

Amen. I was about to buy some RR pants but the ones I wanted didn’t have small-and-tall sizing, these are going on my shopping list.

Their Versa Tac Light pants are rock solid, my go-to for BASE jumping, and any hot outdoors. Still on the pair I use for my first jumps in back 2008.
