QALO Offering New Silicone Ring Colors

IMG_9460.JPG

We’ve mentioned QALO’s silicone wedding bands (seen here worn by an AF aerial gunner) in the past. Now, they’ve expanded their outdoor line with several colors that will be of interest to our readers. The new Outdoor line includes Hunter Orange, Forest Green, Brown, Sand and camouflage in Men’s and Women’s styles.

Whether at work or play, wearing a traditional wedding band can be dangerous for those in a wide variety of fields. The QALO rings are made from 100% medical grade silicon. They won’t conduct electricity, are nonporous and less prone to exacerbating injuries such as degloving and compression wounds associated with metal jewelry.

In Russia military personel is forbidden to wear any rings in the field for safety measures, especially when working with vehicles. Because its not only “degloving and compression wounds”, you can actually tear off your freaking finger. The most frequent case – jumping fom vehicle (truck, APC) – the ring get stuck in something

Thats the point of these rings. They wont tear off your finger, as they are a tough rubber.

Yep, made from medical grade silicone so there isn’t any chance of gloving or damage to the ring itself during active duty/activity. Fairly inexpensive as well. I wear mine for outdoor activity, and my wife likes to use hers with her culinary work as they don’t allow standard rings outside of normal wedding bands due to choking hazards.

      Lots of appropriate scenarios.
(Also, if you loose it, it isn’t the end of the world.)

It doesnt mean that you will not damage the finger, its just breaking the bones instead of amputation

The idea is the ring will rip before the finger will break. I suppose if you are really worried you can cut it a bit to make it perforated and tear easier.

I have one of these wear it lucky for me I was wearing this one and not a regular band. I broke my hand it crushed but nothing wrong with a compression injury they had to cut it off due to swelling and was fairly easy and wasn’t like a regular band if you have doubts order one Im ordering one again.
