I was so pissed off that Netflix took it off streaming that I bought it off amazon; along with the wild geese, go tell the Spartans, and the final option!!
The MM-1 Grenade Launcher. I think Dogs of War was the public unveiling of this item. Wikipedia indicates some were built, even used. Anyone ever see/touch/use one?
They actually used a Manville gas gun as the grenade launcher. The MM-1 was a 12 shot launcher, and the one seen here is about a 20 round with a much smaller bore.
Yep but don’t make me choose… Love “The Dogs of War” and “Wild Geese” – both I and II. And fair to say that Wild Geese II wasn’t as good as the first one but like book-ends – things are better in pairs.
I agree!
Funny I recently saw this
Awesome, but needs more cow bell.
+1!

All great choices.

Good little movie. Read the book.
I think remember some old Soldier of Fortune magazine issues with articles about the sandanista’s or contra’s using them during that conflict.
There used to be one of the tear gas versions displayed at the RCMP museum in Regina.

+1 on the book, it goes into good detail on working around the “end use certificate”.
Good movie! Wild Geese is even better!

“Some of you know me already. Those of you who don’t, are in for a great, big…”
AMERICA!! HELL YEAH!
Great movie, ended better than the book. “You can’t leave Zangaru without your passport asshole.”
Found Wild Geese on Netflix, saving it for a special occasion maybe early sunday morning like TBS used to do back in the day.
Literally just watched this the other day.
The book was even better.

” you’re late !”
+1! Best movie line ever! Only Walken could deliver that way too.
No ways. Manville gun is the lame.
You wanna real Walken action movie, watch MCBAIN. MCBAIN is the greatest motion picture ever made.
This movie is in my top ten most favorite movies of all time. My boys and I watch it at least twice a year . . . . might be time to watch it again!
Love this movie. I’ve had the book in my wishlist on Audible but the reviews are mixed. Anyone suggest it?
Downloading tonight.
