The grand opening for the new Washington, DC Arc’teryx store at 1099 H St NW in the District Town Center is this Saturday at 10:00 AM. SSD was invited for a sneak peek earlier today and we wanted to share it with you.
The outside of the building is striking. You’re definitely not going to miss it.
Once inside the new store you’ll find a top notch sales team, ready to give you a hand in selecting the right Arc’teryx products for your needs.
As you can see, the shop is very well stocked with Men’s and Women’s clothing as well as Packs and select Veilance pieces.
Although there won’t be any LEAF in the store, the Arc’teryx LEAF team was also on hand to provide a pre-launch briefing on LEAF 2015 to select government and military clients in the NCR. Sorry, we cant’t show you any of it, but this new season is going to knock your socks off.
Make sure you stop by the store and check it out.

If you are ever considering purchasing Arcteryx gear but are uncertain on anything, I highly recommend going to one of these stores. We had one open in Toronto, Canada and they have a world class sales team as well. Knowledgable and friendly and with the $$ you’re dropping, they make sure you spend it right.
Does DC have alot of liberals who like enjoying our countries outdoors?? Or who enjoy our country period??
Kinda a weird question, but hippies really like nature, it’s kinda their thing.
This comment would be funny if it wasn’t so ignorant. DC is the fittest city in the US once again in 2014, and outdoor activities are a huge part of that, being super popular in NOVA/DMV.

Not only that, the average income in DC is fairly high, and six of the 10 wealthiest counties in the entire country are in the Metro area.

Arc’teryx no doubt did their research, and picked the perfect location.
JB,
You obviously love your metro area (I personally shudder at the thought).
I am sure Arc’teryx did their research…and you all have enough Class B Airspace/Airports to actually get away from DC and perhaps use that gear.
You win the web today for the burning bag of political ideology left on the internet’s doorstep.
There are also certain communities in and around DC that need bomber outdoor gear that doesn’t come in Coyote or Wolf. This move was a pretty good business decision on their part.
I wish they would carry the LEAF stuff in store the only place I’ve ever seen it for sale in person was at their factory store in Vancouver.
There are a few retailers who stock a considerable amount of LEAF product. DS Tactical in the Vancouver area and Millbrook Tactical in the Ottawa area both do.
Quantico Tactical carries several items from the LEAF line. You’d have to sneak across the border, though. There is one in Washington state.
911 Supply in Calgary is also a good place to look,
They have a good up to date LEAF selection.
Hey, who is that stud on the last pic? I remember meeting a super nice marketing guy a while back, but he didn’t look half as good as this gentleman here… 🙂
This will play nicely in D.C. There is both a lot of money and a market for active people. I like their stuff. A lot. However, it’s a little too steep for my amateur interests in the outdoors. Good luck, though!
Please don’t open one of these money-sucking holes in the wall in San Francisco. Please. Don’t.
What’s up with the suits and all? Can’t find them on their page.
It may be from their Veliance line.
Patrick is right, those are Veilance. Very slick, but very pricey.
Ya know, I am all in with the “You get what you pay for” mantra as it almost always turns out that way, and this company puts out some nice gear….but “Holy wallet draining wormholes Batman!” they are sure damn proud of that gear!
If you shop REI you can compare, as I did, both Arcteryx and REI brand items and save a good deal of money on comparable items as far as materials and use. I do admit the suits look nice but again very expensive so I can’t see dropping that coin on something worn once or twice a year for me personally.
I hope their store does well….they kinda seem like the Starbucks of the gear world eh?
No, kind of like the Lamborghini of the gear world. It’s really more than the average guy needs but sure is nice if you can swing it.
